What's in a profile?

Updated 22 Oct 2026

A profile is Sourcemint's structured version of a CV. This is what it contains and what you can do with it.

When you upload a CV, Sourcemint creates a profile: a structured, editable record of everything extracted from the document. You review profiles, fine-tune them and export them for your clients.

#What a profile contains

  • Basics, contact and location. Name, role, contact details and where the candidate is based.
  • Experience. Each role with employer, dates and responsibilities.
  • Projects. Independent projects outside regular employment.
  • Education. Institutions, degrees, fields and dates.
  • Technologies. Tools, languages, frameworks and platforms.
  • Skills. Skills and areas of expertise.
  • Languages. Spoken languages.
  • Certifications. Certifications and when they were obtained.
  • Hobbies and additional information.
  • Custom fields. Organization-wide values such as availability or rate. See Custom fields.

#The profile page

Open a profile from Profiles → All profiles. The page has a Content tab with the extracted data and a Preview tab that shows how the document will look. A strip at the top shows availability, rate, work pattern, location, the source file and when the profile was imported.
