Managing your organization
Rename your organization, manage its people and roles, and delete it when you no longer need it.
Your organization is the shared workspace your team works in. Its profiles, templates and settings belong to the organization, not to individual people. Manage it under Administration → Organization.
#One organization per person
Each person belongs to exactly one organization, so there is no organization switcher. Sourcemint identifies an organization by its work-email domain. The first verified person from a domain creates the organization and becomes its owner. See Create your account and join an organization.
#Details
- Name. Owners and admins can rename the organization. The name appears to members and on exported files.
- Email domain. People who sign up with this domain can ask to join. It is set when the organization is created, and you cannot change it. There is no separate domain verification step.
#People and roles
The People card has three tabs: members, access requests and invitations. Every member has one of three roles:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an admin can do, and can delete the organization. The person who created the organization is its owner. |
| Admin | Manages Administration, people and billing, and works with profiles and templates. |
| User | Works with profiles and templates. |
Owners and admins change a member's role from the role menu in the members list. They can remove anyone except an owner or themselves. A removed person loses access right away, and the profiles and templates they created stay in the organization. To add people, see Inviting teammates.
#Delete the organization
Only an owner can delete the organization. At the bottom of the page, choose Delete organization and type the organization's name to confirm.
