Bring your templates

Owners and adminsUpdated 29 Oct 2026

Import your CVtoBlind DOCX templates into Sourcemint.

CVtoBlind templates are Word files with Jinja tags, and so are Sourcemint's. In most cases yours import and render as they are. CVtoBlind's own built-in templates are not carried over one by one: the Sourcemint built-in template takes their place.

If we have already set up your organization, the templates you used recently are in Templates → DOCX templates, with your default chosen. The steps below are for adding another one.

#Import steps

  1. Download the template as a .docx file from CVtoBlind.
  2. In Sourcemint, open Templates → DOCX templates and choose Import template.
  3. Drop the file and wait for the check. The file can be up to 100 MB.
  4. Name the template and save it.

Only owners and admins can import templates. If the check reports a problem, see Creating and uploading a template.

#Check the result

  • Preview the template, then download a real profile to confirm every field is filled in. A name Sourcemint does not know renders as empty text, so the import check will not catch a misspelling. Compare your tags with the Template variables reference.
  • If your template shows technology categories, check your categories under Administration → Profiles. We bring them across if you had changed them, otherwise you recreate them. See Adopting customizable technology categories.
  • If it uses custom fields, make sure the same fields exist first. We bring yours across for migrated organizations. See Custom fields.

#Set the default

Choose your imported template as the organization's default so it is the one people see first when they download a profile.
