What changes
How Sourcemint differs from CVtoBlind for your team and your business.
Sourcemint does the same core job as CVtoBlind: it turns candidate CVs into profiles you can correct and export as DOCX or PDF in your own template. What differs is how your team signs in and a few features. This page covers what to expect. If we have already set up your organization, see Moving your work across.
#What stays the same
- Your branded documents. Your Word templates still work, rendered with the same kind of Jinja tags. See Bring your templates.
- The output. Profiles export as DOCX or PDF, and you can save them to Google Drive.
- Your rules. Custom fields, conversion settings and technology categories are all there.
- The organization is your account. Your team works in one shared workspace, with owners, admins and members.
#What is different
| Area | CVtoBlind | Sourcemint |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Per conversion, with monthly plans that include an allowance | Priced per seat, not per conversion. See Pricing and billing changes. |
| Teams | A person can belong to several organizations and switch between them | Each person belongs to one organization. See Teams and access. |
| Sign-in | Email and password, or Google or Microsoft | No passwords, and your CVtoBlind password does not carry over. You sign in with an emailed link, Google or Microsoft. |
| Importing CVs | Files up to 100 MB | PDF, Word and image files (PNG, JPG or WEBP), up to 100 MB each |
| Conversion settings | Per person | Set once for the whole organization by owners and admins |
#Teams and access
Your organization is the customer. Profiles, templates, settings and the subscription all belong to it, and not to the person who set it up. A colleague who signs up with your company email requests access and an admin approves, or you invite them. There is no automatic join and no domain verification. See Create your account and join an organization and Inviting teammates.
#What is not available
- AI Actions. The reusable prompts you could run on a CV in CVtoBlind are not in Sourcemint. They never delivered what we hoped for, so we left them out. We plan to bring the idea back in a more advanced form.
#Moving your work across
If you were a CVtoBlind customer with a subscription, we have already set up your organization. Your templates (the ones you used recently, with your default), custom fields, technology categories if you had changed them, export file name format and conversion settings are in place. So are the colleagues who used CVtoBlind recently, with the roles they had. Anyone missing can be invited from Administration. See Inviting teammates.
Your CVtoBlind profiles and subscription are not moved. To bring candidates across, upload their original CVs again. See Upload your first CV. Your templates are already in place, so exports look like your brand from the first download. To add another template later, see Bring your templates. If your organization is not set up yet, or you would like something else moved, reach out to us at support@getsourcemint.com.
